Being in a State of Wonder

I imagine a watcher giggles with delight the first time they take human form. The five senses are both limiting and powerful. In their angelic form, they feel neither hot nor cold. They still access their angelic senses, however, now they can partake in bodily pleasures and expressions.

Will she spend hours rolling her tongue in her mouth when she suddenly notices it?

What would it be like to eat ice cream for the first time? Or to eat anything? Everything would be new to her. Even swallowing.

Would a rose smell heavenly to her?

How would it feel for her to wade in a mountain stream and have fish tickle her legs as they swim by?

Would she try to whistle, sing, or laugh until she cried?

The first evening, would she yawn and rub her eyes, trying to fight off sleep? Would she be concerned that if she slept, she would miss out on something?

I imagine a watcher would marvel at the world when she first arrives on the planet. Everything is so beautiful and enticing. All she wants to do is take it all in.

In those first days, everything is wonderful and new.

When was the last time you approached the world with wonder?
